Step 1. Go to your Facebook Business Page

  1. Click the button below to open Facebook and sign in to your account.
  2. Navigate to your business profile and click your business name to view your Facebook Business Page.

Step 2. Go to the Reviews tab

  1. On your business page, look along the navigation bar under your cover image.
  2. Click Reviews.

This opens the full list of reviews and recommendations left on your page.

Step 3. Report the scam review

  1. Scroll down until you find the spam or scam review you want to remove.
  2. Click the three dots on the top right of that review.
  3. Select Report post from the menu.

Step 4. Select the spam option

When Facebook asks why you are reporting the review:

  1. Select the option that best matches Spam.
  2. Facebook will use this information to block or remove the profile if it breaches their rules.

Step 5. Submit your report

  1. Check the details of your report.
  2. Click Submit to send it to Facebook.

Facebook will now review the report and take action if the review breaches community standards.

Remove scam reviews from your Google Business Profile in 5 steps

Step 1. Open Google Business Profile Manager

  1. Click the button below and sign in with the Google account that manages your business profile.
  2. Click the grid of nine dots, then select Business Profile Manager.

Step 2. Select your business profile

  1. If you manage more than one profile, you will see a list of business locations.
  2. Click the business that has received the scam review.

Note: If you only have one business profile, you may be taken straight into that profile and this step might not appear.

Step 3. Go to your reviews

  1. In your Business Profile view, look for your rating and reviews panel.
  2. Click Read reviews.

This opens the list of all reviews left on your Google Business Profile.

Step 4. Report the scam review

  1. Scroll to the spam or scam review you want to report.
  2. Click the exclamation mark icon or the three dots next to that review.

This opens the reporting options for that specific review.

Step 5. Select the right reason and send your report

When Google asks why you are reporting the review, choose the most accurate option, for example:

  • Spam for obvious scam or automated reviews.
  • Off topic if the review is not about your business at all.
  • Conflict of interest if it is from a former employee, a competitor, or someone with a clear conflict.

After selecting the reason:

  1. Click Send report to submit it to Google.

Google will review the report and remove the review if it breaches their policies. This process can take a little time.
